On 10 June 2025, the Responsible Business Forum (FOB) celebrated its 25th anniversary with the release of the 23rd edition of the report “Responsible Business in Poland. Good Practices” report. This is the seventh consecutive publication featuring proposals put forward by TIM.

The report offers a comprehensive overview of real actions taken by companies in the areas of ESG and sustainable development. This year’s edition was launched at the anniversary conference organised by the Responsible Business Form, “Business Transformation – Scenarios for the Future.”

The 2025 report includes 957 examples of good practices submitted by 265 companies, ranging from major corporations to microenterprises (including five submitted by TIM, a maximum number permitted for non-partner companies).

A map of real changes

The submitted actions have been classified into seven areas aligned with ISO 26000, an international standard defining a framework for social responsibility in organisations. The largest number of practices are related to social engagement and local community development (396), working conditions (228) and the environment (206). The areas with the fewest practices are consumer issues (55), human rights (32), governance (23) and fair operating practices (16).

The practices can be aligned with specific European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), which apply to large companies in the EU under the CSRD directive. The most common actions are those aligned with ESRS S1 (Own Workforce) – 227. Still, the vast majority, specifically 527 practices, are not assigned to any specific standard. In terms of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030), the most frequently proposed actions are those supporting:

Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production – 119 practices

Goal 3: Good health and well-being – 87 practices

Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth – 84 practices

“From local initiatives to system-level reforms, each of these practices demonstrates that business responsibility translates into tangible decisions and actions. They all share a common idea: care for people, the environment and transparent governance. This report is not a set of declarations – it is a map of real changes, taking place here and now, in response to rising societal expectations and environmental challenges,” says Dr Karolina Adamska-Woźniak, Managing Director of the Responsible Business Forum.

More than just good practices

The companies that have proposed good practices for the latest edition of the report employ more than 847,000 people, or 5% of the total workforce in Poland. 84% of the companies included in the publication declare that they have an ESG or sustainable development strategy.

“All of TIM’s good practices are based on our strategies: CSR from 2019 and then ESG from 2022. They reflect both our commitment to local communities and our responsibility for quality and safety in the industry we have been involved in for almost forty years,” says Michał Kostrowicki, Head of the ESG and Corporate Communications Team at TIM SA. “We’re glad that our initiatives have been recognised and included in the Responsible Business Forum report since 2018. Our focus is not on one-off campaigns but on long-term change, which is why the initiatives submitted by TIM and accepted by FOB include those that have been implemented for several years now, such as employee volunteering, our grant scheme, TIM Santa Claus or Active TIM for Friends,” he adds.

In 2025, members of TIM SA’s Management Board joined the Chapter Zero Poland programme, the Polish arm of the World Economic Forum’s Climate Governance Initiative, coordinated in Poland by the Responsible Business Forum. The programme is intended to help members of management and supervisory boards share their insights and knowledge on the effects of climate change for business and business’s impact on the climate.

The 23rd edition of the “Responsible Business in Poland. Good practices” is available for download on theFOB website >>

The previous editions are available here >>

Employee volunteering

From 2019 onwards, employees can submit suggestions for volunteering activities that the company will support in organisational or financial terms. Since 2023, they may choose, as an alternative, to pursue volunteering work during their working hours (8 hours per year), but they need to arrange the rest of the necessary resources on their own. The beneficiaries of volunteering may be public benefit organisations, public institutions (schools, kindergartens, hospitals, nursing homes, etc.) and any other individuals and organisations in need of support. We give priority to local communities conducting educational/schooling, health-oriented, environmental, cultural and aid activities.

Volunteering applications submitted in 2024 involved around 80 employees (some of whom participated in several initiatives), including tree planting, establishing a rehabilitation equipment rental point, organising children’s football tournaments and contributing to the Noble Gift (Szlachetna Paczka) initiative. Through a partnership with the Zaczytani.org Foundation, 14 employees from the company’s headquarters took part in a full-day training session on fairy tale therapy. They later facilitated sessions for children as volunteers.

As flooding hit some parts of Poland, employees who had already served as volunteers for 8 hours were offered an additional 8 hours of voluntary work in September to support flood prevention and relief efforts (the company’s headquarters is located in Wrocław).

TIM Multisport Integration, Active TIM for Friends and RakReaton

The “Active TIM for Friends” charitable campaign involves recording kilometres using a mobile app. The seventh edition in 2024 took place throughout July and August. For the third time, staff from not only TIM but also the company’s suppliers took part. All participants who met the minimum threshold received commemorative technical T-shirts. In September, TIM also took part in the 5th edition of RakReaton, organised by the Na Ratunek Foundation for children with cancer.

In 2019, TIM expanded its “Active TIM …” to include the year-round “TIM – Team Multisport Integration” competition, designed to encourage staff to engage in regular physical activity.

During the 2024 “Active TIM for Friends” campaign, participants recorded a total of 126,402 km. After applying relevant conversion rates (activity-specific), this translated into PLN 49,087.

The number of active participants increased from 150 in summer 2022, to 173 in 2023, and to 228 in 2024 (with 183 TIM employees, representing 55% of the workforce).

The funds raised by the “Active Tim for Friends 2024” campaign were distributed to seven foundations as donations of PLN 7,013. One foundation was selected by the best of the supplier teams. The rest provide support to the family of the company’s employees and to one of the company’s employees, all requiring long-term rehabilitation.

TIM Santa Claus 2023

In 2024, the company continued its tradition of a Christmas charity initiative. For the fifth year in a row, it decided not to buy gifts for its customers, instead allocating the funds to support social causes. The funds raised, plus contributions from manufacturers cooperating with TIM.pl, were donated to local organisations. The final choice of beneficiaries was left to the company’s customers and other internet users, who could vote for one of three institutions proposed by employees of individual sales offices in a survey on TIM.pl.

The beneficiaries included hospices, associations and foundations supporting sick children and adults, cultural organisations and animal shelters.

More than 54 partners joined in the project, and their commitment allowed the action’s budget to grow to PLN 333,000. Seventeen beneficiaries received PLN 18,000 each, and additional support of PLN 9,000 went to three organisations of national standing. In total, over the five editions of TIM Santa Claus, 93 organisations from across Poland have received support, with total donations exceeding PLN 1.7 million. The initiative has won approval not only from our business partners, but also from our customers, as evidenced by the record number of votes in the TIM.pl survey: 57,000 (up 103% year-on-year).

Grant scheme

Twice a year, the company invites employees to submit ideas and projects supporting their local communities. The proposed initiatives may cover areas such as education, health, the environment, culture and social aid.

In each programme edition, grants of between PLN 1,000 and PLN 6,000 are awarded. Funding is granted to a maximum of five projects. The winning initiatives are chosen through an internal vote by employees via the company intranet. In addition, the Management Board is free to grant a special award to a project that has not received a grant or deserves extra support. To date, over 11 editions of the programme, 64 initiatives have received funding.

In 2024, the total value of awarded grants reached PLN 50,000. These funds have supported a wide range of initiatives, including aid for people who are blind or visually impaired, necessary equipment for a local volunteer fire brigade, meals for children and adolescents and support for water rescue teams following flood response operations.

The grant scheme has allowed the company to boost its presence in the local communities where its employees live and work. At the same time, it has enabled them to better understand the needs of their surroundings. The scheme will continue in 2025.

Safe electricity

In partnership with the Łączy nas napięcie website, the company has launched a public awareness campaign and educational initiative intended to raise awareness of the risks associated with the use of electrical installations, The campaign targets both electricians and the general public. It has involved a survey conducted among 1,600 manufacturers, electrical installers and consumers to assess the safety of electrical installations in Poland. The results have been published in a report structured around three thematic areas (knowledge, financial aspects and safety).

Fourteen industry partners have joined the campaign, contributing to the creation of a knowledge base available at https://laczynasnapiecie.pl/blog. We plan to continue the campaign by organising webinars and providing educational materials to schools.

The campaign has successfully increased public awareness of the risks related to electrical installations. The report has brought to light key issues such as no regular inspections, outdated habits and users’ poor user knowledge of how electrical systems are constructed and operated. The report findings have reached a wide audience, including the electrotechnical industry, educational institutions and consumers.

The campaign has sparked a significant discussion on the need to adjust the training system for electricians and introduce stricter standards for installation inspections. The initiative is supported by industry experts, trade media and academic institutions, a factor that significantly enhances its reach and impact.

The post TIM’s activities among nearly 1,000 good practices of responsible business first appeared on TIM SA.

A formal gala in the auditorium of Wrocław University of Science and Technology on 10 June 2025 marked the end of the ninth edition of the Wrocław Koduje 2.0 programme. This school year saw another record level of participation: over 5,000 students completed more than 200,000 practical programming and database-related tasks. This edition’s partners were Wrocław University of Science and Technology and TIM SA.

Wrocław Koduje 2.0 is the world’s longest-running city-level IT education project (in place continuously since 2016). It is run by the Wrocław Centre for IT Services in partnership with the Liga Niezwykłych Umysłów Foundation. As part of the project, students from schools across Wrocław tackle practical programming tasks in languages such as C++, Python, SQL and Java. The recently closed ninth edition was expanded to include front-end technology training. Among primary schools, Primary School No. 1 came first; among secondary schools, High School of General Education No. 7 secured an undisputed first place.

The Wrocław Koduje 2.0 project is based on the Liga Niezwykłych Umysłów platform, which is a professional tool supporting schools in teaching programming. It has received a number of awards, including the Gold Medal at the 2020 EDUTECH International Trade Fair in Poznań and the 2023 Dubai GESS Awards title of Product for Secondary Schools. The platform has also hosted a wide range of projects and events, including the finals of the Polish National IT Championships and international programming competitions with schools from Poland, Germany, Ukraine, India, Macau and Bahrain.

“As a technology company operating in the e-commerce sector, we wholeheartedly support initiatives like Wrocław Koduje 2.0, which meaningfully improve digital competencies among young people. This partnership forms part of TIM’s ESG strategy. Please note that one of its priorities is sharing knowledge in the field of new technologies and programming,” highlights Piotr Tokarczuk, Management Board Member and Chief Financial Officer of TIM SA. “By supporting Wrocław Koduje 2.0, we are investing in the future, helping to build an innovative society. The record level of student participation in this edition highlights how important it is to design accessible and engaging forms of programming education,” he adds.

“We are very glad that another year has brought record-breaking participant activity. Even after nine years, there are no signs of fatigue or waning interest in the programme’s format. This is largely thanks to the cooperation with teachers in Wrocław and across Poland, as well as attentiveness to feedback from students. Thanks to this, we’re continuously developing the platform while maintaining its freshness and quality,” says Radosław Błasiak, President of the Liga Niezwykłych Umysłów Foundation. “In the new school year, we will open courses on data analysis modules and, most importantly, a new course on building AI solutions to provide students and teachers with a genuinely useful tool for learning the basic concepts behind AI. We’re really excited because preparations are underway for the tenth edition of Wrocław Koduje 2.0. This one will be an anniversary edition, and we intend to make it a truly exceptional event,” he announces.

The post The finale of the latest edition of Wrocław’s digital education programme supported by TIM first appeared on TIM SA.

The new mobile application for TIM.pl customers has been honoured with the Mobile Trends Awards 2024. First place in the Commerce category means that the project has been recognised as the best mobile sales solution in Poland.

This is one of the most prestigious distinctions in the Polish mobile technology industry, awarded to projects that stand out for their quality, innovation, and excellent user experience.

The results of the latest edition were announced on 27 March 2025 at a gala event in Cracow. The Mobile Trends Awards is a competition with a thirteen-year history, annually recognising the best Polish mobile projects – from apps and websites to marketing campaigns. The winners are selected by the Competition Jury composed of mobile industry experts, supported by votes from internet users.

The TIM application, developed by Future Mind, was recognised for its “comprehensive approach to adapting solutions that prioritise the needs of users and genuinely improve their time and work efficiency”. In the Commerce category, TIM outperformed projects from brands such as DOZ.pl, mBank, and the Modivo Group.

This marks another milestone in TIM’s digital transformation, as the company has consistently invested in the development of e-commerce and mobile technologies for over a decade.

“The award-winning application is an important stage in the implementation of our business strategy, under which TIM provides electrical goods to professionals and is ‘always at hand’ – as we have named one of the pillars of this strategy,” says Piotr Nosal, Member of the Management Board and Commercial Director of TIM SA. “For almost 12 years now, since our journey with online sales began, we have been striving not only to follow trends in this area but also to set them – not only in the electrical industry but in the entire B2B e-commerce market. I see the Mobile Trends Awards 2024 as further confirmation that we are succeeding and heading in the right direction. And we do this with our customers and their valuable time in mind – something that clearly resonated in the jury’s justification for the award,” he adds.

In the five-year perspective, TIM has planned to achieve unit revenue of more than 3 billion PLN and EBITDA of 250 million PLN. The key point of the strategy is further development of the company in B2B e-commerce, considering especially the needs and expectations of the electrotechnical industry. TIM’s new mission is now: ‘Make work easier for professionals’

The company wants its customers to find in TIM a true electric engineering hub. The online store should be a place where busy specialists can find both the broadest product range and attractive pricing, as well as technical support. Achievement of this mission involves maximisation of convenience of using of the e-commerce service, too.

The dynamic development of the company would not be possible without the uniquely motivated team who work with passion.

More than 57 000 internet users took part in the fifth edition of the charitable action of TIM Santas by casting votes for local social organisations and charities. This is a unique result – the number of votes grew by almost 103% compared to the year before. In total, 333 thousand PLN were transferred to 20 local institutions and organisations.

TIM Santas is the annual Christmas initiative by TIM SA, in which the company, instead of offering traditional gifts to customers, allocates the funds to support local organisations. Thanks to the commitment of suppliers of TIM.pl, the action’s budget gradually increases and the final decision who should be granted the funded is taken by customers who vote online for institutions from their regions. The main objective is to build partnership through joint action.

Success in the jubilee year

The fifth edition was historic and unique. More than 54 partners joined in the project and their commitment allowed the action’s budget to grow to the impressive 333 000 PLN. As a result, seventeen beneficiaries received donations of 18,000 PLN each. This year, for the second time, additional support was also allocated for the three organisations that were in the top positions nationwide, but did not take first place in their respective regions. They received 9 000 PLN each.

During the five editions of TIM Santas so far, financial support was granted to as many as 93 organisations and institutions in all Poland, and the total amount donated exceeded 1.7 million PLN!

TIM Santas 2024 received also a record-breaking support from customers and internet users. The vote attracted more than 57 000 internet users who decided who would obtain the funding in their region. The achieved result exceeds last year’s by almost 103%, which shows the growing interest and involvement of the community.

Together or a good cause

This year’s budget is a result of involvement of TIM and its 54 partners from the electrotechnical industry: 3M, ACI Partner, Alfako Electric, Anamet Europe BV, BAKS, BATNA24, B.E.G., Bemko, Bitner, CELLPACK, Cynk-Mal, DAMIR, DEHN Polska, Delta Plus, DOKTORVOLT, Eaton, Eco Light, Elektrokabel, Elektromet, Elit, Elko-Bis, ELPAR, ELS Elektrotechnika, Eltrim Kable, EM Group, EMOS, Ergom, F&F, Hager, HARTING, Helukabel, Intelight, Kanlux, KM Grom, Kontakt-Simon, KOPOS, LEDVANCE, Legrand, Lider-Hurt, Marmat, Morek, NKT, Orno Polska, Ospel, PCE, Relpol, Schneider, Simet, Spamel, Technokabel, TIGA-CYNK, TT Plast and VIKO. Thank you for your commitment!

On the 16 January 2025 in Poznań, there was a closing ceremony of the Bee IT Girls Programme in which 22 girls took part in a several-month-long programming course organised by the IT Girls Foundation, funded by TIM SA. This is a very important initiative which opens doors to the world of new technologies for the young participants and shows that the future of the IT industry may belong to everyone – regardless of gender.

We are proud of every girl who participated in the programme, gaining new skills, breaking barriers and proving that girls can be equally good at programming as boys. However, women still make a minority in the IT sector and their way to career in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) is still challenging. The Bee IT Girls programme is a step for change – it builds the girls’ confidence, inspires them to grow and shows that their place is anywhere where they want to see it themselves.

With this initiative, we overcome gender stereotypes in technology and we contribute to equal access to educational and professional opportunities for the future generation of women. Each line of code written by the girls participating in the programme is a small revolution – and we are proud to be a part of it. One of the priorities of the ESG strategy of the TIM Capital Group for 2023-2026 is to share knowledge, including knowledge in programming, especially with women. The partnership with the IT Girls Foundation is one of the methods to implement this commitment.

‘When choosing to support the Bee IT Girls Programme, we wanted the girls participating in the courses to see for themselves that they can develop according to their inner convictions and satisfaction, in what they enjoy to do – says Barbara Matkowska-Włosek, marketing director at TIM SA. – In near future, they will choose their professions, the jobs they will do. It is important that they follow their dreams, regardless of stereotypes and expectations from other people. Because there are no female or male jobs, there are jobs for people. It is good to build this conviction early in the educational process’ – she adds.
