The TIM team does not stop and through the entire September, it will participate in the 5th RakReaton edition, a charity for cancer patients held by \u201cFundacja Na Ratunek Dzieciom z Chorob\u0105 Nowotworow\u0105\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We had nearly 240 participants of this year\u2019s Active TIM for Friends. 45 were employees of the products sold on TIM.pl (Eaton, Ergom, F&amp;F, PCE, Phoenix Contact, Sonel, and TT Plast) or logistic service providers contracted by TIM (3LP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Record-high donation pool<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each kilometre clocked in July and August by physical activity increased our chance of breaking the bank: meeting our charity goal of collecting PLN 50,000 from all the charity participants. This is the biggest donation pool in the seven-year history of the charity!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>27,232 km covered on wheels (by cycling, rollerblading, etc.) and 66,885 km on foot (by running, walking, hiking, etc.) allowed us to meet the goal in 98%, converted to PLN 49,087. The pool will be broken up and donated to seven beneficiaries, each receiving more than PLN 7,000. Six of them are TIM employees or their family members who require medical treatment or recovery. The seventh beneficiary will be named by Sonel, whose team outperformed among TIM\u2019s supplier teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYet again, we could see that TIM, or rather teams, got what it takes. I am grateful to TIM\u2019s employees who took part in the charity and to our suppliers, who committed themselves to the 2024 Active TIM for Friends both by putting their muscles to work and donating money. It turned out that competition can help those in need not only by market performance, but sport performance, too,\u201d notes Piotr Nosal, CEO and Commercial Manager at TIM SA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Helping young cancer patients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside from the summertime Active TIM for Friends, our employees take part in TIM \u2013 Team Integracja Multisportowa (Team of Integrating for Multi-sports) almost all year round to promote regular physical activity. The outcomes of this year\u2019s edition of Active TIM for Friends prove that their desire to help others is huge indeed. To keep this spirit alive, TIM was delighted to accept the invitation from \u201cFundacja Na Ratunek Dzieciom z Chorob\u0105 Nowotworow\u0105\u201d (Foundation for Children Cancer Aid) and join the fifth edition of the RakReaton sports and charity challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The challengers need to clock two million kilometres throughout Semtember of 2024 not only to break the last year\u2019s record (1.6 million km) but first to support the youngest cancer patients. The partners of the challenge swore to support \u201cFundacja Na Ratunek Dzieciom z Chorob\u0105 Nowotworow\u0105\u201d with PLN 120,000 once the target mileage is reached. By joining the 2024 RakReaton, TIM became its Foundation Partner and a team of its employees joined teams from other businesses in the challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is really important is that anyone can join RakReaton to help young cancer patients. Every year, 1,200 children in Poland are diagnosed with cancer. Donations from RakReaton Partners, disbursed after the target mileage is reached, will help \u201cFundacja Na Ratunek Dzieciom z Chorob\u0105 Nowotworow\u0105\u201d to provide constant, multi-faceted support, including mental health services, for the Foundation\u2019s patients and their parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To take part in the RakReaton, simply install&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.activy.app\/pl\/app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the free Activy app<\/a>, register your account, join the challenge and clock your steps and kilometres.
