TIM develops innovative mobile app in partnership with Future Mind
TIM SA, a leader in Polish B2B e-commerce, offering the country’s widest range of electrical goods on TIM.pl, has partnered with Future Mind, a consultancy and technology company, to develop innovative digital solutions. The main objective of the collaboration was to make a new mobile app. For Future Mind, this partnership means expanding its portfolio to include another industry.
TIM SA has been operating on the Polish market for almost 37 years. For more than a quarter of a century, TIM SA was listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and joined the international Würth Group in early 2024. It specialises in the sale of electrical goods primarily for professionals (electrical installers and resellers).
A new take on customer service
TIM has been active in e-commerce since 2013, supporting this channel with a nationwide network of offices and sales representatives. Online sales are operated through the TIM.pl website and TIM’s first mobile app, launched in 2015. Faced with the dynamic changes in the world of m-commerce, TIM decided to implement a new version of the app, leaving this job to Future Mind.
The new version of the app is intended to strengthen the TIM.pl brand on the market and set new standards for customer service, especially in the B2B sector. The app offers features tailored to the specific needs of business customers.
“The project involved two key stages: the discovery & design phase and the development of an MVP of the app. It was our job to build the front-end layer from scratch. The back-end, on the other hand, was developed by TIM. One of the key challenges was to adapt the project to the needs of a diverse customer base, both B2B and B2C. For us and for the TIM team, it was crucial to develop an intuitive tool and to provide users with a smooth transition from the legacy app version to the one created by us,” comments Tomasz Woźniak, CEO of Future Mind. “The project we are delivering for TIM S.A. is yet another proof that m-commerce is developing ever dynamically also in less obvious industries, like electrical goods or even the construction sector.”
A part of electrical goods hub for professionals
The collaboration between TIM and Future Mind involves further improvements and the development of new features in the upcoming app to tailor it even better to individual needs of every customer.
“We were the first in the electrical goods distribution industry to implement an e-commerce channel, followed by m-commerce. We analyse our customers’ needs and market trends. That is why we decided to launch a new mobile app, which will be an even better channel for effective communication with customers and an intuitive purchasing tool. We needed experts with a track record for this, which is why we decided to work with Future Mind. The new app is intended to improve the customer service and user experience of our customers, and more; it is to reinforce TIM as an innovative electrical goods hub for professionals”, says Piort Nosal, CEO and Commercial Manager at TIM SA.
The app’s MVP was implemented on 4 December 2024. For the first 2-3 months, both the new and the legacy app will be available on the market for the customers to migrate easily.
